RoseCraft Knives

My “second” Nolichucky Jack has great fit and finish, was marked as a second for “dye” issues. I can see where the dye is a bit patchy on the show side and overly dark on the pile side, but the issues aren’t major and many manufacturers would ship these without issue. Blade arrived sharp, grind is even, fit and finish are very good. Psyched to put this one into rotation. Will share photos when I can.

Well, I went and did it, ordered a couple of seconds from them to see how they are, figured seconds would be a good way to have a using knife. How has the D2 d)ne for y’all? Got the red sandalwood Loosahatchie Barlow and the Nolichucky Jack. I would like to hear y’all’s experiences using them.

The D2 is delivered very well ground and sharp, no criticisms from me on this except that other knife makers should also deliver their knives sharp. Yeah, I know we all have to sharpen them and put our own edges on them sooner or later  but if it arrives sharp it makes subsequent maintenance easier, it's also a sign to the customer that the manufacture cares.

Have posted this in Saturday Stag, and belongs here too.

The Stag on this one isn't too bad, however, shall be getting out my micromesh and rounding off the corners of the handle a wee bit - they've simply been left too angular. That said, still very good vfm indeed.
