Actually, I have rather high expectations of the brand.
I expect no blade wiggle/wobble.
I expect a pull in the vicinity of "5" on all the blades of any particular knife.
(with the exception of the spey/budding blade on the 3 7/8 "Stoneworx" mentioned above in post number two, I have yet to be disappointed concerning the pull, and it was easy and fast enough to fix on that Stoneworx.)
I expect the blades to be sharp put of the box, have even grinds, (which have generally been on average, a hair under 20° to no more than 25° inclusive) good "walk n' talk", and no to minimal blade rub.
I expect good fit and finish of the bolsters and covers.
I expect high value and a functional knife for my limited money. (being retired now, I'm not sure if "hard earned" immediately prior to "money" still applies.)
Out of between fifty to sixty Rough Rider/Rough Ryder knives I have the only one not to meet expectations out of the box was the Stoneworx, mentioned back in post number two of this thread. And, like I said, it was easy enough to fix in under 5 minutes. That knife is no longer a "disappointment". (besides, it gave me something to do that day.)
In short, I have the same expectations of Rough Rider (as well as Marbles and the BTI Schrade/Imperial/Old Timer) as I would for a Case, if I could afford to buy a Case.
