Except that's only for fixed blades , so far at least .

So it's gotta be Old Cold Steel . Great variety and everything really needed functionally , IMO , from one company .

And more affordable than most others .

If I kept the top 5 from the previous poll, I would’ve only been able to add 5 new makers/manufacturers not listed in the first poll (these polls only allow 10 possible options). CRK and Spyderco were far ahead of all others in the first poll so I choose those 2 to move forward. Benchmade was left out because it didn’t make the top 2. I took the top 2 from the previous poll and added maker/manufactures that were mentioned as being left out in the first poll. No, it’s not a perfect poll or setup but it’s what I decided. Just having some fun!!!

I almost had to skip Dave Mary, because in polite society, we need folding knives in our lives. But then I remembered that he does some mighty fine re-grinds of my favorite folding knives, Spyderco. Perhaps a bit of a technicality, but I ran with it. His mark is on the blade!

Other: CPK and Volunteer Knife make phenomenal knives, including edc size that I carry. If I had to pick only one maker that would work.

Hard to imagine a day without a Spyderco though.
