My comments on this knife are on the next page. Poor brain! Here’s some pics of this K’roo, Keen Kutter/Diamond Edge Cattle Knife Tribute. I was thinking of a spear main which would have made it more cattle knife and less of a stockman but I have a spear on my Ritchie Cattle Punch. And I liked the punch on that one enough I got one on this one. And a coping blade too. I like horn so Willem put on some Blesbuck Horn. I know Willem likes this frame. Me too.

Thanks. I like the Blesbuck. Shapleigh Diamond Edge Cattle Knife had that frame but with a spear. But they also had the usual frame. I’ve seen Bose Cattle Knives also with a spear and same frame. I read he liked a clip better. And here comes the Case/Bose Cattle Knife. There are a few pages about this all somewhere in this great thread. Someone said it’s a Cattle Knife in name only. Stockman. I think so. When I see that frame I think of Diamond Edge Cattle Knife though. But I get stuff wrong often especially when I think I know something. I might be less reliable than AI.That is a stunning knife! Just beautiful. I don't understand the cattle knife connection. Cattle knives don't have serpentine frames. They just don't. But wow! That's a beauty!Oops! I was trying to quote on the Kroo but I dropped the ball. Sorry.

Fantastic work tool to have in your pocket.Steeped in tradition, from the 1930s to before WWII!!!
That nice IXL made me think of this unusual cattle knife; it's a whittler, too!

Cattle knives have been made for a long time. They are early in the lexicon of Traditional pocket knives.
Early in the last century (1900s), Camillus made wonderful pocketknives, and they put out a brand named after their home city, Syracuse Knife Company!!!
When I acquired this one, I was impressed by the fit, the quality of function and appearance of this Cattle knife, except for its ugly synthetic handles!!
I wish I had saved a "before" pic, but I'm sure your imagination will suffice - you are knife people!!!
Anyway, it is a junior Cattle knife, at 3 1/4", plain but beautiful!! The action is great, the blades are well ground and crisp, and almost unused!!!
The knife deserved a new set of clothes!! The technician found some fine-grained Stag, just perfect for the size, and installed it well!!View attachment 3091759View attachment 3091760View attachment 3091761
Our good friend Eric did the magic some time ago!! I am not sure he is refurbishing old knives anymore, but I grateful every time I pick up this little gem!!!
Steeped in tradition, from the 1930s to before WWII!!!
