Round Yorkshire With A Knife: A Visit To The Famous Sheffield Shop

Thank you very much Perry, you're very kind :)

I have used The Famous Sheffield Shop on line, and I must add that even with small orders Paul and his staff have been very helpful and kind. I also greatly appreciate your posts Jack, as I find that my focus in my small collection has been more frequently on Sheffield products of late and you have been a very informative guide. Always a pleasure to read!

Thank you very much sir, and that's good to hear of your good online experience :)

Was in Skipton, Yorks 3 years ago for a Norton rally, but the heavy rain prevented me from going to Sheffield as expected. Anyway I was not aware of the shop. But I will go back as I loved the country and will make a stop there for sure!
Too bad he does not have an Internet site.
I am curently waiting for a Joseph Rodgers Barlow from NZ, as it seems impossible to find one in GB!
Thanks for the great report.

Great Jack. We have a great little army surplus store in Bognor Regis run by two characterful brothers. They often have a few oldies in with the newer folders and I've picked up a few interesting knives there in the past. They're always cheep and nicely oiled and sharpened. Think I'll pay them a visit and if there's anything good I'll do a Jack-esque report on the place, its contents and some past purchases. Most enjoyable!
