I said "use it hard". I didn't say "abuse it". There is a big difference. Using a knife hard means using it in the woods, to baton and drill with. As opposed to cleaning one's nails, or opening letters and slicing bologna with it.

Moon, wasn't trying to piss in your cornflakes with my statement, bro. Some people just interpret "hard use" to mean abuse. We use gear very hard but also recognize it's limitations, as you obviously do.

The reason I am asking - it is a unique knife after all, but on the other hand it is a RAT knife...

I thought we had to use them or Jeff doesn't want to sell them to us.

Definitely use it as a knife for tasks suitable of a knife and not abuse it. The scratches and all with time just add to the character of the knife. Whatsay?

I will definitely use it. Considering EDC'ing it for a while. I believe that all RAT knives want to be used. I wouldn't want to hurt its feelings.

I've been carrying mine non-stop since it arrived. I'll be using the hell out of it. I also got an extra one for the wife, and she will be using it as well. No safe storage for either of these.

I'm actually carrying the RAT PACK knife right now. I am wearing it "inside the pants" carry with the boot clip under a sweater. Carries nice!
