Heard back via email from rpbm10 concerning my package. Here ya go:

My version wasn't edited.


Also, please do like Rev says about info. This is all my fault, I will take care of the situation (hopefully) through the proper channels. Remember what happenes when we assume? That and a failure to search has put me here. Thanks all for the info, public and private I've received. You folks will be the first to know of any progress, good or bad.

I doubt he actually shipped the package given the language he has been using throughout this whole thread. If your package doesn't turn up in a week or so you should take legal action against him or give this local PD a call
 
This type of stuff seems to happen the most in the trading part of the website. For some reason these trolls prey on people there.

Because of this I will never do any trading here. Got to be face to face. I hope this guy gets banned asap .

He has ZERO feedback and just a quick glance at his posting, shows he is trying to trade in nearly, if not all posts. People with low, or ZERO feedback should ship first.

I have had great luck trading here, the one problem I had (knifeworks aka Ryan) was my own fault for not paying attention to the warnings that were posted. You need to use common sense. If someone has zero feedback and wants you to mail at the same time, then don't do the deal. There are lots of great members on this forum, unfortunality the bad apples get the most attention.
 
Newbies and unknowns:


It is a shame it has come to this, that trolls, scammers an thieves use the trade method to steal knives, but the reality is that trading with an unknown is very risky business. I "used" to immediately ship my end of a deal as soon as I got the shipping address. Now, when dealing with unknowns I will ship only after I recieve the knife from the unknown..........
 
I don't want to bash anyone, or blame falsely accuse anyone, but I was speaking with rpbm10 about a trade including a case trapper and an old timer. He then completely stopped responding to emails. And I'm also not trying to "test" his condition, but he has been responding multiple times a day which seems to not be inclusive in the sleeping 23 hours.

I have actually had several people here just stop emailing. Twice I was just waiting for an address to ship and never heard back even after sending emails asking if the deal was still on. Though not very adult or classy, It's pretty normal for people to do that.
 
rpbm10 has yet to provide real evidence regarding his condition and has yet to address the many concerns of this thread. As of now his word is just about worthless. Until he can actually back up his statements and claims, its just about safe to assume he's a scammer. If I'm wrong and I hope I am, I would like him to address this thread and prove me wrong as cf1969 is still without a knife.
 
The thief is banned, again.
If any new developments should arise, start a new thread. I'm shutting this one down.
