New members are often uncertain about getting their knives or gear sold here, or wonder why no one is buying. I've been watching a sale by sta94 that sets an excelent example.

Take a look at it: HI Chitlange, M-43 & D-1 Knife for sale.

First, his descriptions of the knives are brief but informative and his pictures are excellent. In two of the three cases, he shows the knife by itself and in hand. He even gives a good idea of the condition of each.

Second, he sets his terms clearly, stating how he will ship and what payment he accepts, and is reassuring about discussing alternatives. He posts his email address so you don't have to hunt for a way to contact him.

Third, when questions arise, he is quick to respond, and balances the requests of potential buyers. He could have bypassed a request for a trade when the next poster offered cash, but he gave the trader a chance to send him an offer.

Fourth, perhaps a small point, but he writes clearly. His capitalization, punctuation, and spelling are colloquial but correct. This really does make it easier to read. Use every tool available to help your customer have confidence in you!

People like this make doing business here a pleasure.

There was a problem with the email system; it was screwed up for several days, but I believe it was fixed. That was over a week ago. If you've had any problem with the email system since the 9th, post in Bladeforums Service & Support.

Lags and Failure To Connects that are still ongoing??? Post in Service & Support!

If you're having a problem you should post about it, but post in the appropriate forum where the right person will see it and fix it. Posting about a tech support issue in this thread can only confuse people for years to come and make them afraid to trust the Bladeforums email system because of a glitch back in 2009....

I believe the OP of the subject thread, simply had his email shut off in his CP, and he DID clearly list his email...:o I just missed it...which is understandable...I just scored a cool blade at a great price IMO. Thanks Esav, and I agree with your direction here.
