How perfect.

Congratulations, Russell C Cohutta -- and well done once again, Andy. :)

~ P.
whose first Cohutta is due tomorrow.

Thanks everybody! I wouldn’t be able to chase this dream without the support every one of you has offered. People that truly appreciate the pride and passion that goes into something hand made are few and far between, but groups like this are what keeps us makers going.

A special thanks to Andy for giving me the opportunity to come work and learn from some of the best knife makers in the business.

Why did I just read that with a Georgia accent? :D

Congratulations Russell.

A little background on the knife Russell gave to Andy to graduate from his apprentice program.

While most would make a knife just for this occasion and make sure it the best they had ever made, Russell just picked one up off the table at Blade to present to Andy. This tells me that he has confidence in his craftsmanship and that we get the same top quality as Andy described above.

Those Chinese kids can make good knives when being whipped with a cane. They dont want to mess up on Miso Cachuttie knives

Beauty! Congrats Russell--very good looking work... and that tapered tang is pretty damn awesome. Love those!

I think he's kinda alright I guess?!! LOL :D
I couldn't agree more Andy! Fit and finish, design, form, ergos, materials, durability and overall execution just outstanding! Beautiful, quality, tough-ass knives!!! This is a great day for C Cohutta and the Fiddleback Fiddleback Forge family! Russell, congrats brother! Looking forward to watching a great career!

Wow--what is that big, beautiful drop point in in the middle there??? Is that one of Russell's knives? Looks like a fella can get some work done with that one!

I don't know, the shape and overall look of it is similar to what I am finding but that's why I put it on here to try and find someone with any info on who it is or if it is one of Russell's. It is a HEAFTY piece for sure, its about 10.5" long and 10.2 ounces.
