Mitch, you're gonna have to put down the Foster's while typing. ;)

(Thanks to my mates from Oz.)

What a terrific folder Elliott! Very unique with the main blade lock and the secondary blade being slipjoint. I'll bet it is a pleasure to hold and to behold. :)

It's really got all the right stuff, and I know that feeling when one just speaks to you from the moment you see it...I think it's known as "steelove at first sight." ;)

Elliott,

WOW, what a pickup! Absolutly stunning! A Great pattern, If that "popcorn" stag bothers you too much when your carrying it, just send it up here and I will find a good home for it! :D

Hi Elliott glad you are enjoying the knife!
talk to you soon!

Good talking to you earlier, Dan. Thanks, I'm enjoying the knife immensely.

Oh, and that "Dealer" green looks good on you! It is surely welcome. ;)

Wow! Just . . . wow. Great score, everything on that knife looks good - everything. and that Wharncliffe looks very well done.

Thanks, fellas. I thought we had pretty much put this one to bed but Dan opened it up yesterday afternoon and I'm always happy to revisit it. I really appreciate all the positive comments.

I've been in touch with Ryu via email and asked him to make a couple more knives for me. Since his waiting list is pretty long this will give me time to put some coins in the cookie jar along the way.

If I am like some of the others here, this one has not been put to bed! I have revisited this thread often to look, study, and wonder what its like in hand.

Its also nice to see Mr Delavan here. Spent about an hour looking at his site yesterday evening.

Thanks, Ken. Coming from you and some of the other fine makers that have commented in this thread those words really mean something. Oh, and you'll get to feel what it's like "in hand" next time you visit.

Mr. Delavan? That would be Dan's father. :p

Seriously though, Dan's one of the good guys and I'm happy to see him establish more of a presence here. (Since I took it upon myself to sell him on the idea. ;))
