Patina! I am always pro patina, unless it messes up a blade with an etched design, but I'm trying to get over that. No etch = patina for sure. *nods* Also, that copperhead on top is beautiful; gorgeous golden color.

This was my first GEC purchase back in fall of 2015, didn't realize at time they would discontinue shields on their stag models and also the rarity of a satin bladed Northfield (my personal preference!). I know a lot of SFO's have satin bladed northfield trim but not seen very often on the standard NF fare.

Nice knife 007hunter!!! Saw-cut bone may be my favorite and the 77 barlows look extra special with that style nail nick. Wonderful job showin' off all the textures. Even the blade grind and swedge show so clearly. Great pic Sir!

My two favorite stag knives are both Northfield 77s. The 2014 Blade Forum knife and this spear blade #31 of 63.

My only 77, the original and IMHO the best one.
I had a 77 Barlow when they were released but sold it, just didn't do it for me. Nice knife just not for me.
