That knife is an absolute work of art. That wharncliffe blade is something else!

GT, that is one classy barlow!

Thanks for the compliments, guys! :)

Harry, I feel fortunate to have won the knife, and I feel honored that, to even qualify for the GAW, some Porch dwellers had to nominate me as a contributor to our community here. But, to be honest, so far I also feel very nervous when I'm carrying that beautiful knife, since its "market value" is so much more than most of my knives! :( Not sure why that even makes a difference, because I'm never going to sell it, and I have no qualms about carrying other knives I have with even more "sentimental value" than this 77 Barlow. Every once in a while, I find myself doing some quite illogical things in connection with this pocket knife hobby! :o

Erik, great pic of your light bone 77 Barlow. I used to think of you as the guy with the peerless Presidential, but I think I'm going to have to change my idea of what your "primary knife" is!:thumbup:

Thanks Bob, took me a while to locate one and I won't even mention the cost  ...but it was so worth it.
To me this is one mighty fine blade!

Al, that is a fine group of 77s!!! Glad you bumped this thread, I had forgotten how enjoyable it is to see all the different 77's together.
Thanks! The 77 is a great pattern!

That's a slam dunk, not a bump. Nice group.
Thanks, Joe!

I don't post too often around here, but I really do enjoy a good slip joint. The 77 Barlows are my favorite. One day I'll take a photo of them all, but here is the one I carry the most.
