Musky,
You don't have to buy anything you don't want to. And I'm done buying knives for myself. The Native spoiled me and the 710HS said "I am why Benchmade Knife Company was brought into existence. Care for me and recommend my model number so that it will be available in the future should anyone else require a proper drop point in a proper steel with a proper lock". The Native was too busy cutting things (rags for our rat) to talk.
DTSoll,
My wife had a good chuckle when she read that I'm done with buying knives. She doesn't believe me, either.
Easyrider,
Just stay with the M2 and be happy. I'm finally able to sharpen my non-Wharncliffe blades on a Sharpmaker and not risk rounding the tip, so I was able to tune that 710HS to screaming sharp. On the other hand, direct competition with the 705BC1HS can be yours for just over $50 from the online discounters and $83.95 shipped from Spyderco. It's the S30V Native Lightweight.
