s30v

Ok i see thank you for clearing that up for me :D And indeed i have ordered a para-2 thats why i was asking if it was worth the hype the steel that is

There is a rather famous fellow here who does tons of testing with MANY steels and has categorized them for us...and for you. He also does fine videos of his testing. He uses rope, cardboard and wood...which serves for the great majority of us. I trust his testing and his very complete categories of blade-steels.
Jim Anderson's PREFERRED carry knife is a Spyderco Military with S30V. That should tell you something. His link to his testing...

I've been very pleased with s30v blades by Buck and Spyderco, great steel.

Good advice, ill leave it be. I tinker with stuff too much as it is lol 2 years of reliable use is awesome news, after what i put this knife through yesterday I expect mine too do the same. Yea rolling the edge on a pumpkin seems bizarre to me.. if the knife had an issue he should have contacted benchmade and they would absolutely take care of him probably free of charge.. there customer service rocks. I dont agree with just writing it off as every s30v knife will act in the same manner because thats just not true.
I am not a fan of screws myself. I've had them loosen in the field before. Jmo. The titanium tubes on the bushcrafter are on there really tight and there won't be any rust issues under the scales with S30V. Handle attachment strength is really important to me , and the 162 is incredibly strong. My honest advice is to leave it as is , unless you want to make new handles for it. The holes in the tang where the handle goes will be at least as big as the O.D. of the tubes as well.

I'm really impressed how this steel has held up , at least on this knife. I've lowered the edge angle down to around 15 deg. and still no problems. How that fellow had edge rolling cutting a pumpkin top really astonishes me.

I like s30v over s35vn. In my experience s30v holds an edge longer and s35vn is easier to sharpen. M390 is easy to sharpen and holds a keen edge for some time; then holds a working edge past that. Vg10 is cool, it's easy to sharpen. Vg10 can get a keen edge fast and hold a good working edge.

I don't consider s30v high end; but it does make for a good edc type folder.
