Wondering what the forums thoughts are on S35VN now that S45VN has been out for awhile as well as Magnacut.

Ive tried both but prefered magnacut for ease of sharpening. S35vn was much easier to sharpen when compared to both magnacut and s45vnIf buying a new CRK I would prefer to go with 45 or to give Magnacut a try (CRK seems to be one of a relatively few makers using the proper HRC); but S35VN has been nothing but good to me.
The reblade option would be Great! I would probably do my 21 pictured above, and would Definatly do my old s30v Zaan in a heartbeat if available.I think we will have the option to send our 21s in for a reblade in Magnacut. I'll keep mine in s35, but I'll surely end up with a 31 in magnacut.
To your other question, I think I would notice the difference the first time I had to break down a whole bunch of cardboard. Does that matter to me? Not really. Pretty much any knife will need some attention if you kill enough cardboard.
For me I find the opposite to be true. S35VN has a long lasting working edge but very short fine edge. I found that only using medium/brown rods on the sharpmaker leaves a more aggressive edge for my sebenza.I for one am not that happy with edge retention on my s35 and its not that fun having to sharpen the belly and tip area where it's thick and keeps reflecting light all the time. It does hold shaving sharp edge well for a bit, but then the working edge gets killed fast. Maybe I got a lemon, maybe I'm too used to supersteels and my sebenza is treated more towards cutting things on a rock, I'll take the Magnacut.
