S35VN for the Sebenza?

Looks about right. Based on my Mule, on the edge, it doesn't seem much different than S30V.
 
Yes, but you will notice the slight increase in toughness, that is to address the chipping issues that some people have had with S30V, which was the main gripe with it from what I have seen. With increased toughness, hopefully CRK can push the hardness a bit more and improve on edge holding too.

He may keep the RC the same as the Nyala is 58-59 just like all the S30V blades they use.
 
i just got an email from heather saying that they are planning to replace s30v with s35vn for all of their folders and the change is expected to happen withen the next few months... i also asked if there were going to be any embellishment options on the umnumzaan and they are not planning anything

Thanks for the update. Making me rethink purchasing a star-tac zaan until the switchover...

By all means, you should pick up the startac umnumzaan, it is a limited edition and it's awesome... Too bad i cant get one in Canada :grumpy:
 
if you look on True North's website, the new small sebenza tanto is shown with S35VN, so it looks like it is starting to trickle out.
 
simple facts reign. if hes changing it to s35vn, he feels it better. otherwise, why change?

i just bought my first CRK THIS MORNING in s30v.

but i am excited to finally get it and see what all of the fuss is about :D
