S7 Run! Work in Progress

I'm waiting on some scale material for these now, they will be on hold until I get the supplies I ordered on Friday. I like to cut and fit the scales before I do a whole lot of grinding as I always get some scratches fitting the scales. They will be on soon, in the meanwhile I have all sorts of projects in the works.

Look for more pics in the "Live from the knifeshop" thread. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...he-Knife-Shop!-Shop-and-Progress-Photos/page4

I'm not finished yet but these are getting close! Check out the progress.

Antique Ivory Micarta

I took all of the scales to a hand finished satiny 1200 grit, different than normal and I really like the look!

As mentioned these are not finished, you can see on this one that the tip is mostly polished but I have not gone back over the main grind yet. They are all like that. I need to make sheaths, final finish and sharpen them then they will be ready to go! :D

Great to hear thanks!

The carbon fiber with green liners is absolutely amazing. Wtg brother.
Thanks! I want to keep that one and the antique ivory myself!

Oh, snap! :D:thumbup: :D:D
 Nice to hear that! :D

I have had a ton of requests for these in .315" so I will eventually make more. I am making two in .315" A2; one will be available so look out for that soon. I also kept 3 in 1/8" S7 for later, they are already heat treated.

Currently the antique ivory micarta in .315" ($275) and CF/neon liners ($260) are available. Thanks again guys!

Holy crap. Do you do re-handles, Daniel? I think the krypto in the Havok X is thick enough, could you maybe do away with the horse stall mat and smooth out the krypto like in that left-hander above?

I think so, the tubing will get ground back too but I think it would look great. Honestly that handle was the toughest profile I have ground, I had to hand file and hand finish the inside contours. I think I can slim it and make it work nicely. I have to be careful, I only have crypto left for some older orders and I am not sure if I can get more.

Send me an email and we'll work out the details.
