S90V + Umbilical Cord = Awesome.

Was this a home birth?

I hand delivered my son April 2nd of 2012, as in dr stood in the back of the room and observed incase anything went wrong she could step in but I literally did everything (except for the pushing of course), didn't think to use a knife tho, wish I would have.

Very cool and congrat's!

I got to deliver my daughter on 2/20. They said I could cut with my knife but I decided not to. Just used the scissors. But it was fun getting to catch her.

Congratulations on the kid!

Knife's been blooded now, ain't no shelf queen. Not that I'm saying it was before, but, you know.

Umbilical cord doesn't really need to be an absolutely sterile procedure. It gets clamped closer afterward, and cut shorter. Wouldn't do to leave it swinging in the wind, might make for some awkward questions when baby's all grown.

To the OP
I think its great you could do that I just would be too nervous to try,
As to agreeing with the disgusting part I,m sorry but I clicked your thread open as I was eating eggs and sausage links, needless to say breakfast was over.
The last part was mostly Al bundy type humor, although it seems we have some humorless among us.

Alright. You might want to consider adding some kind of smiley or something next time.
Plain text doesn't convey tone very well.

LX ~~ he did have a smiley -- his "Wife" for him not wanting to use a BK-2 to cut the 'Cord'..!!
Congrats..**

Like others have said, wish I would have thought of that :D . I probably would have used my Buck 110. That in my opinion is pretty much the ultimate father to son blade this world has on offer.
