I'm curious as to what methods are the safest for sending and receiving money.

Obviously methods such as Paypal and Money Orders work well since they are reliable and difficult to fraud somebody, and also offer ways to verify and backup cases if it gets lost or stolen.

What other methods do you use to send/receive that you don't have to worry about being cheated or getting screwed if it gets lost/stolen?

What about personal checks, cashier's checks and another methods?

I always use Paypal, it keeps an automatic record, sends you an address if you are the seller, and it can then be safely deposited into your bank account within 3 days if you have a fast bank. Mine transfers within 24 hours. Much faster and has all the failsafes and security of paypal.

If using a MO, I prefer USPS Money Orders since they are full-proof and you get to keep a receipt of the amount sent. I always take a picture of it as it's getting shipped off. I also slap a tracking number on it to be extra safe.

Hope this helps, J.

I always use a USPS Money Order and send the recipient the electronic tracking feature so they can keep track of the package as well. Same with the package; get a tracking number. Get it insured, and request delivery confirmation and a signature required.
