Safety razor blade life

Yeah, I know they say to continue with your routine while we're isolating.... but I just knock it down often enough so that a mask lies decent against my skin. ;)
 
Back when I shaved, (I quit in1973 or 1974) I think I used Gillette or Wilkinson Sword double edge safety razor blades; whichever the drug store had in stock at the better price.
On average, I got 0.5 to 0.75 shaves from a single blade, regardless of brand. (Yes. I used both sides.)
 
WOW. You must have a beard of steel wool! :eek:
I typically don't have a very thick beard, so someone else might get less shaves than I do.
 
I've not heard of one blade lasting that short number of shaves. Preparation helps. I've noticed with just using water and no hot water and lather the blade life is diminished. DM
