You can learn various decorative knots from both online resources and books. Once you get the hang of a few, you can apply what you've learned to make your own various lanyards. I have learning resources listed throughout my blog page and I've put up a couple of tutorials as well.

It looks like one of the now-discontinued SwissGrip models from Wenger.

The PocketGrip and WengerGrip are both still being manufactured by Wenger (see link below). But Wenger is no longer marketing them in the US.
