SAK Carry

Snapped a pic of my SAK and the pocket lanyard I made for it.

Normally in pocket with lanyard or monkey fist under belt. I wear a multi and light on belt so have no room for sak.

I have also been known many times to just toss it in my pocket.

Always in pocket, though I may buy a sheath to carry my new Huntsman, which, come spring, will be my go-to woods knife.

I prefer just to drop one in my RF pocket along with my Leatherman Squirt, and lately I have a kershaw OD-2 as I want to try it and use it for a while and I can't get rid of the other two tools. The weight doesn't bother me none. I'm used to it.

I pocket carry my SAK, but I do have a couple of the leather, Victorinox belt pouches. I like them because they have a clip instead of a belt loop. You can clip them to you belt and take them off without having to unbuckle the belt.

I carry All of my Swiss Army Knives on a key lanyard around my neck under my shirt, In fact i have a different Swiss Army Knife for each day of the week.

My problem with clip-ons is they have a way of working themselves off without my knowing it. Fortunately, I caught them in time, but hey. Do any of yours have a positive means of securing to the belt?

A carry my Tinker deluxe on a belt pouch of its own and my Alox pioneer in a side pouch on my leatherman pouch

For me, using a belt pouch is mostly out of habit from years of carrying that way

Hung in my pocket with a Tec P-7 clip. Most of the time anyway. Sometimes I carry a Super Tinker in a belt pouch.

Dang it, I just love Swiss Army Knives. I have one in my pocket (Victorinox Manager) and two here in front of me for general fondling - a black Compact and a sapphire Super Tinker (I did a scale transplant on that one).

Victorinox Classic.

I used to belt carry a larger SAK, but I found I rarely need anything other than the blade and screwdrivers, so I usually just pocket carry.

To me, the key to the SAK experience is being able to have it with me all the time, regardless of how I'm dressed. So... pocket carry all the way. If I'm going to carry something on my belt, it will be something more substantial.

I've tried belt carry for some of the larger SAKs, but got tired of the bulk. Now choosing one of my slimmer SAKs to slip into my jeans watch pocket is part of my morning routine.

Of course, even with something like an Alox Electrician, that still leaves a lot of room in the fifth pocket... so I use it up by carrying another SAK.

I'm not a fan of belt carry for SAKs. Even my Swisschamp or Hercules gets carried in a pocket. My belt already has my phone and multitool on it, so there's not too much room. Aside from the Executive I always have on my keys, most of the time I'll have a lanyard attached to the SAK, which is then either looped onto my belt or held in place with a monkey's fist a la Knife Crazied. It's a nice setup that makes it easy to get the knife out of my pocket, here on my Evo16.

The only downside it that I suck at making lanyards. Fortunately that's what Ashley is around for..... :)

Awesome idea with the kydex ckid,I use a p7 clip, but I only have one there a little spendy,so I make mine from a piece of utility marker wire ,they are slightly tempered so they maintain a little springiness after you shape them.

I had a custom sheath made for my Leatherman. It had extra room for cards of bits, bit extender, small flashlight, Ferro rod, stick of fatwood. My first one was a clip on, and I lost it.

I had the second one made with snaps. Two to the back of the sheath. Two to the bottom of the sheath. I’ve never come close to losing this one. That right angle turn does the trick. Any impulse to pull sheath from belt is trying to shear those snaps, not unsnap them.
