Ahtough I wear a belt I do not prefer belt carry because I don't like the lumps or the bulk. But I also don't like to have large/heavy things loose in the bottom of my pocket. I carried a Benchmade Leopard Cub clipped in my RRP for 15 years and loved it, but never liked worrying about having the clip scratch wood or leather furnature. (I'm a bit high-maintenance this way). I've recently decided that I'm going to EDC an SAK and have been playing with different ways to carry it. Because I'm used to having my knife at the ready, vertically in my RRP, I made this Kydex "In Pocket" sheath for a Tinker. Here's a video that shows how it works:

I've been using it for about 2 months and like it quite a bit, though I plan to make a second version with a few modifications that I hope will make it simpler and stronger. I'm also still deciding what my final EDC SAK will be (the Tinker is just a placeholder for proof of concept). I may have a custom Yeoman made but I'm not sure I want to commit to 3 layers of thickness (high-maintenance!!)
I almost never notice it being there except occasionally if I'm playing on the floor with my daughter and sit kinda sideways. But then I would notice the Benchmade doing that too (and it's clip would end up grabbing the carpet!)
I like the designs some of you have using a lanyard with a knot tucked under your belt to hang it vertically in your front pocket... I might need to play with that a bit! (But some of those monkey's fist knots you guys are using look ridiculously huge to me! How do those not constantly get in the way??)
