SAK: Life after Alox?

91mm is the correct size but I wouldn't be a friend if I didn't remind you that your Passenger is a collectable model and before you swap out the scales, you might consider an Explorer to use and save that one back. :) You gain scissors in the deal too!

It's none of my beeswax of course! :D

Thanks for the recommendation. I won't be buying any SAK's in plastic anytime soon, but I will be searching for those 93mm Alox variations, but certainly not at the prices that some of those guys on fleeceBay ($300.00+ for a green scale set on a Pioneer with red shield, really now). Anyway, I just ordered an Electrician in silver, and found a Farmer which I'll order (silver as well)...I'm looking for a duo or duo-plus Electrician, and a Harvester as well; so much for me not buying anymore knives this year.:o

Left VM.

I'd love to go back to my Huntsman but I had suddenly started to have attacks of some phobia - I got scared of the scales popping off or cracking on me when I would need the knife the most ... so I went alox ...

SAK Guy, where can I find that compass, thermometer, magnifier?

You do know, don't you, that the Swiss Army issues non-cellidor handled knives, don't you? :)

Actually they don't anymore, they have the 110mm with cellidor and grippy stuff attached. No tweezers though.

I love my cadet, I guess I'm gonna have to have a custom made because I'd love to have the tweezers and toothpick added.., and maybe scissors..., who can do that for me, anyone know?

I really like my pioneer and cadet also. However. My daily carries currently rotate between a compact and a tourist.

I do find the tweezers and toothpicks useful. Also, the backside tools add additional functionality that the alox knives don't have. The corkscrew is multifunctional in itself.

There is life before and after Alox.
I have 3 SAK's, none are Alox. I am allegedly "alive". Those who have Alox are allegedly "alive".

Actually the scales on the 110mm models are Nylon not Cellidor. The Swiss Army issue model is green nylon with rubber inserts.

Life after Alox?
Quite possibly American!
Keeping a rather watchful eye for further future developments
