"SAK-Only" Carrying Members

What kind of mini-sharpening stone is that? Looks cool and I could definitely integrate that into my gear.

That's a Eze-Lap model L with most of the red handle cut off. It's a medium grit and I like the edge it puts on, plus it's flat enough to fit n the zipper compartment of my wallet.

it's always worked for me, another interesting thing you can do with a microstream streamlight is detach the head and then attach the body of streamlight and attach to the head of a fenix ld01, giving you a light with 3 settings and better QC and a tail cap switch. I lost mine though playing with the kids outside once and as the ld01 is a little more expensive didn't feel like risking it again :(

Very interesting. I just got a Microstream like a week ago, but don't have a LD01.

I have the back half of one if you like ;)

it was pretty cool, you half tap the cap to cycle through the mods (click without clicking all the way :)) I do appreciate the simplicity of an on off switch though to.

In my OP carrying 2 SAK's is redundant (even a SAK and a knife). Why possibly double your weight to gain a small number of tools?.

You get the utility of the SAK, and the quick deployment and locking blade of the folder. At least that's my excuse.

I always carry my classic, and 98% of the time that is it. I rarely need more than that little blade and scissors. On the rare occasion I carry another blade, it is not a SAK, and I rarely use it.
My everyday knife is an Ambassador. I prefer the longer blade.

What are we talking here? Is there a Private Message function on this forum. I haven't been able to find one for some reason.

If not PM me over on the other forum.

I agree, and often feel silly carrying more then I need in my pockets, on the other hand I'm yet to feel overburdened by carrying 2 saks, or a sak and another knife, or 3, there not that heavy.

For edc, i indulge I suppose. I guess if I was trekking or something, maybe weight'd matter to me that much, but for going to work and pottering around town and the house, i can afford the extcra oz.

That being said, lately I have been pocketing my victorinox cadet and couldn't be happier. It offers so much in such a small/lightweight package. It has become one of my favorite EDC items of all time.

I carry a sak for a couple of reasons; because they are just great multi-purpose knives in general: they are not fancy or anything but they sure as hell get the job done and because of the style of the of the blades (probably the least tactical blade you could find) they don't scare the sheeple who have been taught that knife=bad especially the small blade which is the blade i use in most cases except for tasks such as cutting cord or outdoors tasks they also have things like can openers, screwdrivers, scissors etc which makes them even more useful. they are also legal to carry in the uk where i happen to live because of the sub 3 inch non locking blades so i can enjoy their usefulness everyday.

I used to carry a Tinker + Classic combo. Now I carry a deluxe tinker, it has everything that I need.
