SAK Ranger

This is the SAK I built to have the tools that suited me the most in the least thickness. It's unofficially called a "Huntsman Slim." It's basically a Compact with a saw added. I don't have much daily use for the saw, but I want it "just in case."

Love the Vic Ranger and I EDC one now. Jumped around a bit with carrying different SAKs... I prefer to carry one knife all the time rather than one for work, one for home, one for the woods, etc.
The Ranger has all the good stuff and is the slimmest model that has the full compliment of tools on the backside. That fine screwdriver is great on handgun sights and grips. I even used the chisel the other day!
My Ranger is one of the models with the "Camping" metal inlay in the scales. Wanted one of those since I was a kid!

Dude thats pretty much the exact same mod i was planning!
I was however considering putting some ultrathin wood panels on instead of the celidor ones.
Also I kinda wish they made stayglow plus scales!

I think the Compact is just about the perfect starting point for any SAK mod.
A compact plus saw/file/pliers would do just about anything i need a SAK/multi to do.

You may be able to get some special Stay Glow scales with the plus features.
Contact Rotokid at sosakonline.com. I'm not 100% sure that he has any left.
I've got one pair, currently riding on a Passenger model I made.
