When clearing up some junk this morning, this piece of flotsam needed to be downsized to fit into our dumpster.

It is some kind of frame, made of old cedar 2x4 pieces bolted to metal straps. I needed to cut the 2x4s in half. Out came my OHT -

I decided to use its saw blade. I had an HI khuk with me, but I didn't want to take a chance on hitting a nail while chopping.

IMO, the key to using these little saws effectively is - don't try to cut really big stuff; use both hands if possible; stabilize the piece you are cutting as well as possible.

These tools are very sharp, and cut on the push and on the draw. The saw blade is angled so that the edge of the saw is presented most effectively, and to prevent the blade from trying to close while in use.

A very effective little tool, IMO.
