I actually agree with this as well.
 
It's just some lighthearted banter Chris.

Nathan had always stated his system is FCFS but he often he goes above and beyond by accommodating the 1 or 2 people who seem to get gypped because of the new system. I think everyone is good with this and again congrats to all the winners and the proxy owners. Time for some beer and grub!

I agree - the system is completely fair and unbiased as-is.

The heartache comes from the duplicate "same post #s" like myself - when you end up as the fourth "#3" poster. Not sure if all the "Number 3's" have exactly the same time-stamp, down to the millisecond or what, but the system somehow sorts/organizes them as you see it now.

I have learned from this sale to no longer have a full reply typed out, and just keep it to a few random characters, and then 'Edit' my post after the fact. I think the few nano-seconds used to input the addtl. characters/letters cost me valuable time.

I can feel it in my bones that there will be a more practical version of this. Nathan won't wanna hear that some folks are claiming that his LC did not measure up to some heftier BKs or the ESEE Jungles in terms of pure chopping tasks. Of course, the LC was designed for an entirely different purpose than pure chopping utility, but if Nathan decides to produce and present a production level heavier chopper, then watch out 1095 steel variety tools that have some heft on them, because you ought not have picked on the little Bro, the LC ;)
 
The LC is a great knife period! It will accomplish more than many Heavy Choppers because of its superior Steel and ability to chop for longer periods of time! Technique and experience
 
Tommy, quick!!! Please hide that video with that Beast! (both of 'em). I was making up sh*t in order to egg on Nathan just to dare him purely for selfish and self-interest purposes. :p

I have a totally different take on this!

Trev had typed out a full sentence which he copied, pasted and posted. I had just V typed and before I refreshed, I was # 3 before I fell to #14, or was it #18... It doesn't matter. But with the exception of the fact that I didn't catch the initial refresh on time and then my darn hand slipped, I think that having just typed a BS one letter nonsense may have hurt. In the old days, the forum would not allow one to post anything less than 7 characters. I'll go with pasting a prewritten I claim one the next time. That had always worked for me, but there are admittedly quicker folks than me too.
 
Big fan of the copy/paste method as opposed to taking the time to type anything.

I also only have my 4g phone at home so on days like today I take no risk and head to the city library to use their computers. Has worked fairly well for me so far.

$$$$ in your hands I'd suggest.......consider after the first five......the next 30 as a preorder. I would imagine all those that fell out of the first 1/2 second would not balk.
 
Trev: I'm sure that you're gonna be a very worth owner of that BC and will put it to use so we can live through you vicariously and just of dream what it could've been like to get lucky :D

That's what I do (did) as well. I even disconnected all other devices on my Wi-Fi and closed all bandwidth-sucking apps in an attempt to get as much Internets as possible.

Still fun regardless, and I love being able to see CPK fans to get in on these sales and enjoy the blades that we are all vying for.

I think anyone who shows interest in a CPK is worthy of owning one, even if just as a collector/hoarder.
