SALE! Five 12" Behemoth Chopper prototypes

^ or something which is not as much of PITA for Nathan to get into, sharing some DNA with the BC / HC, but financially feasible as a production level pattern.

My mind is flipping into process improvement and achieving higher yield with less personal investment on Nathan's part.

I'm guessing wheels have been turning in the CPK camp on this.

I bet they were shocked to see them go so quickly!
It's awesome to see so much interest in their products.

I doubt Nathan is actually surprised. When was the last sale that lasted longer than seconds?
I think I've only saw it once last year, but I'm pretty sure it was over with in less than 10 seconds.

I guess it's not too surprising considering this sale had 5 big ass knives at a really good price.

that he surely was surprised is one of the reasons I have such love for the man

This was a difficult knife to bring to fruition. Labor intensive and very time consuming. Did I mention expensive.?
Mark are you referring to the asking price for the BC? Although it is a Proto IMO $525 for a 12 Inch Chopper is a damn Bargain! Nathan addressed how Labor intensive and Time Consuming the BC was-I can only Imagine

I definitely would've paid more for it, just being honest. To get something comparable is BIG bucks a lot of the time.

Sorry Tommy,
My reply was a response to you. I'm not very forum savvy.
I ( my opinion) think it is a very good value. I would have bought all of them
Nathan wouldn't let me... buy any..of them.

Mark it is all good, I would have bought a couple also, but am Holding out for a possible (Only Possible or haven't decided yet NATHAN) Pre-Order! And yes I will (would) pay more to get 1 or 2 of these! Nathan's quality, workmanship, and Materials are far superior and that good IMO!:thumbsup:

^ seconded. I'll be more than happy to go on a preorder list even if it takes up to one year to get my preorder fulfilled. I know that this statement is sacrilegious to many knife fans on here plus against Nathan's own grain if he could help it, but there it is. Come take our $$$ please and I'm sure that we will pay the higher price for a production level finish version which comes with a sheath.

All that said, a Medium Chopper "compromise" with an 11" blade length would also do in lieu of the above, if that pattern would not break Nathan's equipment and Nathan's/Jo's/Mark' backs :)

I'm right there with you guys on a pre-order, but after seeing and using Nathan's work for many years, I would have to think that Nathan would get bored working on these beasts after a short while and would prefer to have different challenges to occupy that evil genius mind of his.
