Sale Proxy Requests

Tigerden Tigerden had asked me to proxy for him this Friday through a PM last week. I think that he (Adam) also posted a request in the WTB/S/T thread (wrong place for it!) a few days ago.

As of now I’m still committed to try my best for Adam but if he has another proxy lined up, I can try for Justin above. Not promising, just saying ;)
 
Thanks Mat Casinostocks Casinostocks I really appreciate you stepping up for me. No, I do not have another proxy lined up. Also, I figure multi proxy's might be frowned upon right? Hopefully someone can step up for Justin as well. Looking forward to returning the favor someday. Oh sorry about the proxy request on the wrong thread. Newbee error. Good luck all.
 
Yup as a refresher course ( :D ) I must emphasize that asking for and securing multiple proxies is frowned upon as much as double dipping (the practice of asking and securing a proxy in addition to planning on participating). There are times when someone asks for proxies and unbeknownst to him, a couple of well meaning CPK’ers partake for that person to pleasantly surprise him. This has happened and I’ve done this myself. This is quite innocent as very often the extra bidder vacates his spot.

Again, none of these are any constitutional rules. Just our gentlemanly agreements to keep this subforum the friendly and caring place that it has become known for ever since it’s inception. We don’t want to put any undue burden on Nathan other than him getting his arse in higher gear as Uncle Matty is really missing and lusting after his new UFs and DEFs :D

You are also allowed to get another member to proxy for you in sales. Request a proxy in this thread. If another member agrees to proxy for you it means you are not allowed to try for a knife in the same sale.

What are you looking for Chad? I'm planning on partaking for this Friday's sale but if I fail to score well enough to land a top-top shelf offering (not even sure if there's gonna be any avail this Friday), I'll be happy to give up my spot to you as your proxy :)

I'll reserve my spot for myself only if in the top 1-2 and something like a 7" UF / PK / Dagger should fall to me.

No worries, I’m eyeballing a DEK1 so unless the EDC is reborn I’m holding off. Proxy is good training though, lol!
