Here is a San Mai knife. The outer layers are a low carbon high nickel steel, and the cutting edge is some of Aldo's 1084. I left the forge scale on the flats and fileworked the spine.

The handle is came bone. It shines up very nicely and is held in place with pins and acraglas.

The sheath is 8-9oz hand stitched and hand tooled leather from Wickett and Craig. It holds the sheath snugly and allows it to draw easily.

Dimensions
Blade - 3 3/4"
OAL - 8 1/8"

Price - $265 shipped to US. I prefer paypal but will accept check or money order.

The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.

Really nice Matt. I love the blade shape.

Your leather is also outstanding. Great price on this one too. Almost too good. :)

you are the sole reason that san mai is my favorite steel style possible. Damascus is OK, but this is art. I will own one of these one day.
