Just got one in the mail, thought I'd throw up a few pictures. So far, it seems like a damn good deal for under 10 bucks. Solid lockup, no bladeplay, comes pretty sharp out of the box, but it's tipdown only and the thumbstud is also not very good.

I think its a phenomenal deal and the one I own is pretty solid quality all around for a 10 dollar knife. I just wish it didnt try so hard to be a blatant copy of the REAL thing. A darn shame if you ask me since it had the potential to appeal to a much larger crowd.

I've been google'ing the hell out of SanRenMu and nothing has came up, any websites sell them

I forget which site selled them but you can only get them through a chinese website and it takes weeks to get it shipped to your home if you live in the US.

I bought one a few weeks ago on a whim, and kinda regret it...its a decent knife though

Anyone have one of their "Axis lock" models? If it's really an Axis lock as claimed, isn't this patent infringement?

Really? STR concluded that the SRM 710 isn't any more of a ripoff of the Sebenza than something like the Bradley Alias - http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=761222

As for places to purchase, Ben I sent you an e-mail.

Too bad the Bradley Alias isn't $10! I'd buy one of these for kicks to check out the supposed quality but I can't wait 6 weeks for it and I heard that somebody got their credit card number heisted and used after buying one. (read it in a thread here anyway)

same thread. it was str's card.

great knife for the price. Similiar build of knife to a byrd.

if your on a budget and not a snob , this knife would serve you well. They have some kinda bronze washer thing going on too.

sure the design is derivetive but how many companies copied the buck 110 ?

I got mine from ebay , shipping was about a week.

To quote STR: "[T]he tip up vs tip down carry pocket clip is another [difference]. The blade shape on the 710 is unlike any of the Sebenzas really when you actually compare them side to side and the blade steel of course is different also. The stand off count is higher in the 710 than the Sebenza and, number of lock cuts, blade shape at the tang for the lock contact and stop differences, detent ball size difference , slab material thickness difference and, one being stainless the other titanium, weight differences and perhaps most importantly 'size difference', meaning the actual foot print, length, width, thickness etc etc in the pocket and in the hand. "

But, even if the sanrenmu was identical in all dimensions, after having handled a seb., there is really not a competion & CR hasn't lost a sale to Sanrenmu. Its like the difference between a poster of a painting and an actual painting, at least for me.
