Dan has stated that the Scrap Max is a slicer "only" and it does a great job of that, but they are not intended to stand up to prying; I've got a few, and the thickness is comparable to that of a Mora although the steel is a significant upgrade. It's a great food prep knife. 511s have a 5.5 inch long SR-101 blade that's 3/16-inch thick (http://www.scrapyardknives.com/knives.htm).The 460's are AWESOME (and the trail point should be just as cool)!!! Those are ~0.095" thick if they're the same as the previous versions. GREAT little slicers!!!
