I am a new maker, and this is the first knife I'm offering for sale here on BF. This is the 9th knife I've completed. I'm sorry for the in the shop pics. I'm still working on getting good "posed" shots, so at this point, any time a photo comes out well, I use it. I will attempt to get some better sunlit shots in the morning.
I know that "Santoku" and "Hunter" ususally don't belong in the same knife name, but I'm not sure how else to describe this guy. I use a small santoku for most of my camp cooking tasks, but it is too flimsy to be good for anything else. I wanted a knife that could still fill that void, but be comfortable doing other tasks as well.
Dimensions are 4.5" Blade and 9.65" OAL, hollow ground on 10" wheel out of .125" 1084. Guard is 416. Handle is Dyed & Stabilized Buckeye Burl. HT is by Tru-Grit. Finish is as ground @ 400 with hand sanded flats, and handle is hand finished and buffed to a semi-gloss finish. Edge bevel is machine finished to slight convex, then stropped to shaving sharp.
Knife will be delivered with lightly oiled blade in cardboard protective sleeve. I'm asking SOLD. Price possibly negotiable depending on interest. I'm new at this and don't have a good sense yet.
The small void in this photo has been filled with CA and refinished to essentially invisible.
