Sarsquatch.....What Happened???

A quick and dirty size comparison against a SOW (for lack of owning an SFNO).

Top-down shot with a ruler (lifted off the table slightly to match the height of the SOW) and the Sarsquatch scaled to the rough dimensions listed by Jerry:

With the Sarsquatch drawing set at 40% opacity over top of the SOW, to give a rough idea of proportions:

SARsquatch Specs (from Jerry):
Blade = 7"
Overall Length: 12 5/8"

SOW Specs (from Busse Collector):
Blade = 7"
Overall Length: 12.5"

SFNO Specs (from Busse Collector):
Blade = 7"
Overall Length: 12.75"

Aside from the blade thickness, this knife should be pretty close in size to the SFNO. Take that info for what it's worth!

Apologies in advance to all who would conspire to hoard the SFNO's and/or Sarsquatches to themselves! :p :p :p

Any chance of doing the same thing over the top of a FSH and ASH Grim?

I'm at tipping point about buying this knife, I think the only thing that turns me off to this knife is the swedge at the front. I'm practicing my grinding abilities just now on cheap blades so I might be able to do a bit of work to get the swedge I want.

I'm ending up with so many medium sized knives at the minute I need to really want a knife to buy it otherwise it's just greed. That said I wouldn't say no to adding a comp HR and a SFNO to the collection.

Hope to HAVE it posted by Tuesday or wEDNESDAY BROTHER;):thumbup:

:thumbup: I have complete faith in ya. ;)

Great work, Grim. Seems like the Squatch will fill a big whole in some people's collections at a good price. It is a MONSTER knife, but I think I will try an SFNO first (as a user) and see how I feel about it. You guys enjoy, though. I just tend to have a jones for satin blades with micarta grips.

I absolutely loved my SFNO, but the ASH1 fills that blade position much better for me. I would still like an Old Skool saber-ground SFNO, but not likely to happen.
Now, the SARSQUATCH looks to be a better woods knife by design. Thinner, more weight forward and the pommel is more user friendly (although the SF and Fusion pommels are my favorites). This and the MiniMuk will more than likely be my constant woods companions.

BTW Grimspoon, very, very nice work on the comparisons. Thanks!:thumbup:
