Maybe it's just me but I find it confusing that some on here refer to the original Satin Jack as a SHSJ.
I always thought it was known as the SJ and was available during the Busse ERGO era.
If we call them SHSJ shouldn't we also call the Badger with the same handle a SHBA3????
Anyway the poll is should the knives in the pic below be called SJ or SHSJ????

 piglet

and the reason i voted this way is because i get tired of trying to esplain to newbies the difference.

satin jack was fine when there was only one, but now that there is two it's easier for me to say shsj or whatever the other one is called...

what is the other one called??????? really??????????

.

Hmm, if the Satin Jack Tac's were called that, there would be no confusion...;)

I think they should be refered to as SJ. The new ones are the SJTAC of course just as the new Badger is the BATAC.

tall bladed satin jack tbsj or newer model satin jack nmsj not to be confused with nmfbm.

i can clearly see that my only option is to have another drink while you pork chops figure this out. but remember, it doesn't mean diddler squat when in four years OP's super collider's black holes eat up all our infi.

and while we're at it... is it satinjack or satin jack?

.

Busse never made a called the SHSJ so to speak, as they did a SHBA, so I dont know where people get confused. The SJTAC has the TAC handles and the SHSJ has a Strait handle.

busse never made a straight handled badger attack either, but the old hogs hung that on them the day the ergo's came out.

so there!

those my fellow hog started out life as the first "badger attack's" then when the ergos showed up they were called ba-e's but then the hogs hung the sh in front of the old badger making it a shba which sticks to this day (no pun intended)

now sell those sonsabithes to me!!!!!!!!!

Why isn't "Does it really matter" an option?

Don't we have more important things to talk about - like what the next knife will be. ;)

.

These are Satin Jacks:

Now I am getting confused. :D So "SH" was added on after the fact, when someone says SHBA I know the exact model they are talking about, as is the case with the SHSJ, if anything it makes it more clear, especially to newb's.

I wish those were my SHBAs. :D they are actually Mulders.

The "SHSJ" thing has bugged me too.

It isn't the same handle as a SHSH/SHBA and SHBM.

Since it is the same handle as a BAIII if it needs to be called anything other than a SJ then it should be an SJ-III.

But as Hammy said if a SJTAC was always called a SJTAC then there isn't a problem. Kind of like the LMS and LMrS… which not many get right.:p

I say the ones in the picture are SJ's, and the Tac's are SJT's.

Is it not true that the SJ released with the BAIII was the first SJ? Why call it anything else?
