Saturday Stag Show

Bruce Bump put this amazing stuff on a Harness Jack for me. Every time I CE and CF* this knife, it knocks my socks off!

The punch is of an unusual, but very effective design. The straight leading edge allows fine control, and a clean perpendicular hole.

*for new people here, the letters stand for: Chicken Eye and Coon Finger!

Folks, I am guessing here, but the Trad. mods can kick me if I am wrong, when you get this thread slowing down but you want more Traditional stag to look at, over in my home Buck forum we have had a stag thread going for a several weeks. 98% are traditional knives with lots of straight knives and some fancy engraving on the blades. I say this because I have vocally promoted the Traditional forum a time or two in Buck land.

I like closely matched stag scales and the older ones that have what I call the 'hand oil' coloring.......I will go look for a good photo.... 300

Here's one with the 'hand oil' look 1989

Here's a elk 301 with that look also. 1988

Here is a Richards/Sheffield I was given by a relative. The stag looks so good I have never traded it. Is it real ?

One more with some pure antler. An old one that is factory but was a limited edition back in the 70's

No worries about the reference.

And the promotion works vice versa, too. We've sent a passel of folks off to ask about Bucks in the land of all things Buck.

Derrick is getting some fine Stag on his knives of late, as evidenced by Perry's nice Jack, above. Here's my Burnside - just had to have one (the usual refrain)!:D
