i want to personally thank jeff and mike from the bottom of my heart for the izula knife. I was walking to my car the other night after getting off work with the store deposits in my hand when a guy grabbed me from behind and told me to give him my wallet, any money, and keys to my car. i told him to calm down and that i would give him what ever he wanted, and at that point i noticed he was holding me with both arms around my chest wich to me meant no weapon. In what was the dumbest and best desicion of my life, i pulled my izula and i cut the guys arm pretty good, He then ran off spouting off a few colorful phrases while i stood there in absolute shock. I contacted the authorities and was able to go home alive that night to my wife. I am now in the process of saving up for another izula because mine had to be handed over as evidence. id have one on its way right now, but tight budget these days! Jeff and Mike thank you so much for putting out great products that i now literally trust my life on. ESEE knives are hands down the greatest cutlery products i have ever had the pleasure of carrying.

Damn. Where was your Izula? Belt?

WOW!!!!!
Scary but AWESOME story!!!!
Glad to hear that you are ok!!

ryry, glad you are ok. Good thinking about both arms being used, don't think I would have done anything if it was any other way. Hope they catch the guy.
Be safe.

Wow what a scary story but a great ending! Except for your knife being stolen by the police. I probably wouldn't have reported it.

yep, inner waist band. thanks for the concern guys im hoping they get him too, because he does know where i work! its only been like 2 days so i still have high hopes!

I live in your neck of the woods and you just never think that would happen round here. You always thinks it happens in "someone" elses town.

Glan your ok. BTW- you're crazy. I would have lost my keys and wallet that night.

Good job on keeping your presence of mind! It's really easy to go in to panic mode in a situation like that.

Good work keeping your head and calling the law afterwards....I would have lost it and chased him down and gave him the ass-beating of his life.

i always considered myself a passive go with it kind of guy. when that adreniline started goin, everything went slower and it just happened. honestly i was surprised when i felt the knife not the keys!

Shame that you lose the knife but you did the right thing by reporting it. It's a long shot that the guy would call the police but if he did and spun a story that some guy attacked him with a knife you'd have a hole to dig out of even if you were in the right, which you were.

Stand up to the bad guys but know your limits. If you aren't sure you can handle it it's only money.

Live long good people,

Seems like that Izzy finally bites a guy that deserves nothing less

Glad the story had a good end and hopefully they will catch that guy so you can go home from work in the near future with a better feeling.

A big  for keeping your mind together although you have to admit that it was quite a risky one...

Glad to hear you're safe, get you some pepper spray or something in the meantime & I hope you'll be able to get your izula back with time. I don't blame you for reporting it. Thieves are usually liars & I wouldn't put it past 1 to go to the hospital then make a report you assaulted him. I live in NY & seen that happen
