Anyone have experience with them? I returned a knife to them, sent it back insured and with a tracker so I know they received it. Since then I have sent several emails asking for a refund. (he had sent me a refund authorization number already which I included with the knife). No response at all. I had thought to maybe just buy another knife from him (trade the Team Leader for an FI) but I certainly wouldn't do that if I don't hear from him. Once he said my email ended up in spam so maybe that happened here again and he will see this post.

I do not have any experience with Savson. Having said that and after checking out the web contact info, no phone #, I would say you don't have too many options other than waiting for a response and to keep pounding him with e-mails. If you paid by credit card, contact them and get a claim going. You seem to have all the documentation you need. Good luck.
 
They used to be a great place to order from. Until about April of this year. Then the website said the phone was out would be back up soon. They never put it back and people here have been saying they mess about with orders ever since. Never had a problem with them before and now I'd never even think about placing an order with them.
 
I've got a problem with them right now over an item which was never sent. They don't reply to my emails and don't offer a phone number to contact. I finally had to call the credit card company.

This is unfortunate since they have very attractive prices and my prior dealings with them were all fine. I would really like to continue doing business with them.
 
Ditto, jill jackson. I've bought several knives from them last year with absolutely no problems. But that was last year.
 
Yeah, Randy gave me the "your e-mail was going to my spam account" excuse too, after several unanswered e-mails.

I finally got my busines finished with him, after several weeks. I won't be doing business with him again.

Man, I was really upset to see this thread. I am so sorry to hear about problems with Savson. Randy has always shipped my orders correctly and promptly. I have received two packages from him in the last 12 days or so as a matter of fact, both just right. There was one time a year or so ago when my order seemed to be taking longer than usual, I called and talked to him, he said he was waiting for one of the pieces which was backordered. He then offered to send the in-stock items immediately and shipped the backordered item later at no additional cost. Maybe he has some persoanl issues going on right now. Who knows? It's just that he's been so good in the past maybe we shouldn't write him completely off just yet.

There is no excuse for not posting a notice on his site, refunding peoples money, responding to emails, still taking orders and charging cards, etc.

I have been trying to get a reply from him for many months now, yet some others have got bs excuses from him since then...

I have already started the process to have this site www.savsonswordsandknives.com shut down. I called and emailed the better business bureau in cinncinati ohio where the business is nearest to. I filed a complaint with yahoo shopping which probably didn"t do any good. A visit to the shop might be the best course of action. Either that or hire a lawyer and get everyone who ever got screwed by randy to sign some sort of petition and send it to the better business bureau cincinati. If anyone lives close to the area that would be even better. I have ordered two knives and got an email saying that Randy charged my card and nothing else after that. Its been a month already. I am currently disputing this merchant with my credit card company and am also urging them to watch out for future charges from this merchant to other account members and not just me. He is a very shady busniessman and probably would sell your credit card info to the highest bidder. I second the notion and will be satisfied once this savson site is shut down and will smile the day it happens

I am sorry to hear about the problems you guys are havin with Savson, hopefully everything gets taken care of...I'm glad this was posted here though because I was just looking at their site a couple days ago and was thinking of ordering a Presidio... Not having a phone number made me a little nervous and I think thats what stopped me from doing it...
 
I recieved a knife a few weeks ago and decided that I wanted to exchange it. Still haven't heard back from the.m, but I am learning to like the knife..
 
I ordered a knife on Dec.4,07 and it's now Jan.24,08 and no e-mail response or shippment received from Savson knives. Tracked down a phone number in his wifes name at his company's address, but it's on an answering machine and they don't call back.Time to get the credit card company involved. Given him more than enough chances to make good with numerous e-mails and a letter to his home and still no reply.
 
Ordered a Dark-Ops Strato Fighter SF-1 from this outfit on 01/14/08. Never got it! Took $208.99 out of my account alright. Till today, no knife, no e-mail replies, no phone, no nothing. Informed my bank of the situation, they said to come in and sign a dispute authorization which I did. I love knives but I've never been ripped off like this. I think this guy may have been reputable to some in the past but something is wrong right now. It's gotta stop! :thumbdn:
 
I ordered 2 spyderco's and was charged for both.
I only got one knife and no reply to several e-mails
as to when and if the other knife was coming.
I will never do business here again.
 
I'm not looking to put the blame on anyone but for the love of god why don't people just use new graham or dave last website or even sparks website They are all linked to blade forums and have awesome reputations.

Hopefully you guys all get your money back
