*SIGH* Okay, I know there's been a thread posted about this place, but I can't find it [SEARCH] ...

Late last year, I was an idiot and placed an order without doing research, just jumping on the best price for the knife in question. (Yes, I admitted I was an idiot, let's get past that, shall we? lol)

After my credit card was charged, and the item failed to ship, I tried contacting them via email AND the phone number (which turned out to be disconnected) ... with no response. I was pretty quick in filing a complaint with the Cincinnati BBB, as I later found many others had done for much the same problem. I did dispute the charges and my card was finally refunded, and the Savson we site has been changed to Cincinnati Cutlery.

PLEASE... BE AWARE... The name's been changed the name to Cincinnati Cutlery. I'm not aware of anyone who's attempted to purchase from this company since the change, and this change is pretty recent. If anyone is "in the know" about any improvement in their reputation, feel free to post. Otherwise, let this serve as a warning to be wise and avoid Cincinnati Cutlery (formerly Savson Swords and Knives) until more is known!

**EDIT** (From the website) For the time being Cincinnati Cutlery will not be accepting new orders. Thank you.

If anyone has a recent experience, as in this year, please share.

I have done buisness with them. From what I've heard, Savson had problems because the owner had fallen Ill. For a while, Savson was left dormant. Right now the website is undergoing some cosmetic work.
I have had good experiance with them both as Savson and as Cinncinatti Cutlery. (I got my CS Ti-lite from savson and my CS Recon tanto from Cinncinatti)
I suggest we just give them some time to reorganize themselves.
:)

Sorry, I rechecked and the name is not exactly the same as stated above.
Even though it is similar, so I very well could have been mistaken.:o

Poor service since at least 2007 and we should give them some time? That seems a bit optimistic...

Those birds in the news again? Now way!;) This will be a never ending s**t storm until the end of times. I was burned from the original company a couple years back. Luckily it only cost me several hours on the phone and a few dozen emails.:jerkit:

Hopefully people will search here before buying from now on. If there isn't all ready, maybe a sticky in General for the new members to read many if not all the posts in this SF before they buy. Kinda stear them this way. It may save alot future probs. Just a thought!:)

I placed an order for the MOD Harkins Triton right before they stopped accepting orders....received the knife within 3 days...guess I was one of the lucky ones.
