After posting in a sale thread I received an email that wasn’t the seller. Here it is. I hope admin can do something about it!!!

If you have posted your email publicly in the past, you can expect scammers to contact you by email.

Since you have access to DMs, you should only communicate with sellers in that fashion. (Especially, since you hadn't contacted the seller via email.)

We cannot prevent non-members from reading publicly posted emails and using them in their scams. Members must be vigilant and take steps to verify whom they are communicating with.

DMs are the safest method available...but still require vetting to some extent.
 
Yes, that’s what I do… I’m not sure how they got my email! I was hoping someone could find out who it is and stop it!
 
I just got an email from the same address trying to scam me. Thing is I can’t find my email anywhere on this site. I went and redacted all traces of it a while back. I haven’t posted it on any thread since.
 
Check your notifications for my sad face, you missed one.
 
Like I said. That is the email I use to sign up for contests and do online stuff like this. I ALWAYS communicate through DM/PM

Naw man, that was literally the only one that came up. Unless you posted some other email address on the site. I searched it verbatim.
 
As a craftsman/service provider I kinda have to make my email address public. I get scam emails all the time. I find them obtuse and formulaic. An active scrutineer won't fall for them. Let's all activate scrutiny mode. Most recently, I had posted in my sub forum about a package I was receiving, and then hours later I got an email to "log into my UPS account or it will be cancelled". Definitely falls between 90 and 180 degrees.
 
I get them too. I work for the USPS and unless you “sign up” for email/text notifications the USPS will NEVER email or text you about a delivery!!! 👍🏻
