I now believe the email i received was the result of a hacking. Moderators please delete/ edit the title to this thread.

Got the same email last week from a personal friend...looked legit...BUT they are not in the phillipines..THEY ARE IN CALIFORNIA...So, she said , yes, her account had been hacked...

not him/her, account got hacked. seen that one before myself, from a friend's email address. his whole address book got the same email.
worry not.

and don't send any money


you may just want to let OP know their account got hacked, and then also maybe take their name off the title of this GBU thread. it wasn't him doing it to you, it was a hack.
