They probably use throwaway email accounts anyway. I would suggest not doing deals through email at all & if you MUST, never use F&F. I doubt a scammer would ever accept PPG&S. BTW I have a proton account & I'm not a scammer.

All For Sale threads must have a pic showing the knife being sold with written date listed, your username & Bladeforums or BFC to prevent photo harvesting from elsewhere - scammers hate this one trick! I also was emailed from pan.flip70@gmail.com on 06/21 regarding buying a knife I posted I would take.
"Hey man,
Consider it yours. $160 shipped. PayPal info is; @DemetroPerez Send via F&F no notes. Also, provide your shipping information.
Thank you!"
He almost got me as this seemed like a legit email response, until I questioned why he emailed rather than PM on the forum.
"Ran out of PM on the forum. Rest assured, PayPal info is; @DemetroPerez Send via F&F no notes."
Be cautious of these scammers.

A member was scammed trying to purchase one of my blades.

Same guy got one of my customers. He used that email and tgdowning32@gmail.com for PayPal. Name Thomas G Downing but probably BS
