Hi all.

Thought I would update you on my last post here. Its been 22 days and no knives, no contact nothing. Have contacted e-bay fraud department. Recived his address and phone number, which is a dead line(like his e-mail address)

Here is the thread on USN for more information.

These were going to be my first BMs, but time is running out.

Hate to post a link to another forum, but though you all should see so it doesn't happen to you.

EDIT: Edited out link. Per a previous agreement, links to the USN are prohibited at Bladeforums.

If we are not USN registered we can't see the thread.

Just nama name and we'll be careful.

Update:

The admins of USN of tracked his activity to being on the forums 2 hours ago. He's very much aware of going on, and I'm looking for him and my knives.

No pms, e-mails or calls. Still no contact after this. Trade square and pay pal are looking for him as well.

There is a Marauder 2002 on the Spyderco.com site, wonder if it is the same person?

I'm quite confused. This marauder guy cannot be Brad Zuffal.I've dealt with him for several years and he is top notch.Must be a case of user name switcheroos or something.tom.

With so many knife knuts online these days similar names are inevitable. It is reasonable to ask whether Marauder 2002 on the Spyderco forum might be the same as Marauder220 on USN. It would not be reasonable to jump to the conclusion he is.

I've been trading collectibles over internet in the past few years and sometimes people who tried (and sometimes succeeded) in scamming others would take a name that closely resembled a well-known and respectable member. This way people who weren't careful enough would assume they were dealing with the "genuine" good guy and got scammed out of their possessions (myself included, once, until i learned better, but i fell for a different kind of scam, trusting the other guy too much :) ).

I did say that I did not know if it was him and I am glad it is not because he allways seemed to be a very nice guy.
Someone may just be useing his ID and rep.

Well whoever it is, they've tracked his IP address, and pay pal has contacted LEO in his area. They're going to go find him, have a chat with him.

More then anything, I just feel "God damn it! Just wanted my knives! How hard could it be?!"

This to me is very wierd. At about the same time Angelus1781 was buying the 630's I made Marauder220 an offer twenty dollars below his asking price on an Emerson knife he had up at USN. He accepted that offer immediately and I paid him trough PayPal.

He claimed to have shipped the knife the next day but after a week I still didn't have it. I emailed and it bounced back. I checked here and at other forums only to find he had been a short timer on many. His MO was mostly selling, rarely buying, hardly ever posting other than to sell. That sent all the red flags up and I prepared to start a dispute on PayPal. Two days later he finally did PM me saying the knife had been shipped. I got it the next day. He had shipped by regular mail. The return address was Brad Zufall.

Either Brad has gone bad, some one has assumed his identity, or he is laying low making it seem like some one assumed his identity.

It will be interesting to see what Angelus1781's local contact can find out.

I again reminded me to check out short time users and ask for references from them before taking a deal that seems too good.

Ok, I've spent the last hour or so going through all the information both here and on the USN. Where to start..ok, first off I'm not sure who Angelus1781 is, but I can tell you for certain that I sold the pair of BM 630's via the USN and shipped them quite awhile ago, around the same time I also sold an Emerson CQC7. I did experience a few days delay in shipping due to some personal factors, which I should have communicated to my buyers. Ok, at this point I figured everything was good.
Now I will provide further details of some personal issues I've been experiencing during this time. First one of my vehicles had been broken into while I was at a party at one of my "friends" houses. I lost my laptop, my palmtop, and my personal organizer containing various information and a few credit cards. As of today, I'm pretty sure of who is responsible and am in process of handling this situation. I've also found that my e-bay account is screwed, my paypal account is literally gone or has been changed, and that I've been buying things both in Monroeville, Pittsburgh, and surrounding areas, but online as well. My American Express account is in excess of $2400 in stuff that I wouldn't buy. I've also found that I've apparently been online in various places. I also see I was online as of 11-5-2004 and for all concerned that was NOT ME! I can be contacted via AOL instant messages at Marauderwpd and my new e-mail is going to be Marauderwpd@aol.com I would also invite ANYONE that has had contact with "me" in the last few weeks to please forward any such contacts to me so I can further pursue the matter. I would also like Angelus1781 to contact me ASAP. As of this morning, I've checked my checking account (which I used for Paypal) and I only have one transaction in the $300 amount which was for 2 BM630's which were again sold via USN, and not via E-bay. I didn't post the two for sale on E-bay and am very much looking forward to getting this situation resolved in the best interest for all those involved. Again, all concerned please feel free to contact me via the above information.

Respectfully,
Brad.

Marauder220 if this series of unfortunate events did occur please post a complaint no from the LEO who reported your larceny of your laptop. Plus what jurisdiction that this occured in. THis will clear your name. I believe that Ebay also has the law involved looking for you so I think you need to errr..well .....prove it..

I hope this story is true...

Why have you not posted this info on the USN? I hope this is true and everything will work out okay.

Brad Z. if that is you, please check your USN account again.. there seems to be a guy named "Brian Johanning" from J-town, PA impersonating you/Marrauder220.

You've done business with me before and it all went smoothly, and I have no doubt that you had no malicious intent here. Guys, I believe Brad, but that is just me.

Not just you, me too. :footinmou

Sniper, Roshi Thanks for the kind words. I've been selling/buying/trading on various forums for several years now, and all with good results. I'm going to put more details out once I have the chance to speak with Angelus1781 regarding his knives. I'm dealing with several of my credit card companies to get things squared out, and as far as I can tell now, my paypal account was closed about 20 days ago. I do not know anyone named Brian Johanning, but I did see that my account had been suspended or limited at USN. The user name that bought the 2 630's I listed at USN was "Miguet" as I just found a post in which he reported receiving them on 10-24-2004. So they did arrive safely. I also know that there were the exact same knives posted on Ebay per what Angelus reports in his posts, and in the same time frame as the sale on USN. At this point I just need to verify information with Angelus and determine exactly where his money went so that it can be returned to him. And there is someone impersonating me online using Marauder220, and also using TheSpy220 or TheSpy515. They also use the names, Brian, Thomas, Thomas Kincaid, Mike, and Mike Interino. They are apparently a big fan of Cold Steel cutlery since about $500 worth of charges on my A-mex were for cold steel stuff. The downside is that I believe the person responsible for this crap is\was a friend of mine who does have a great deal of malice towards me these days. Once again, I'll post more once I have the chance to conferr with Angelus on this issue.

E-mail has been sent. This would be the first time I have had contact with you, and never got messages from anyone else. I just bid, won and paid.

how odd. First ebay account said I had won and paid, now its telling me I have to pay..again. No. I'll call credit card company and see whats going on. Already have a pair of Bm 630 coming to me.
