Scammer Alert - Jordon Depew , Scott McGee

Wow. Hope he's reading this and bracing for impact. This kind of traffic is sure to get the attention of the Feds. Looks like they have enough to make short work of him.
 
Have any of his victims contacted the Saltville Police and filed a report? As mentioned in the other (now locked) thread:

Saltville does have a police department (http://www.saltville.org/police-department), with a relatively new police chief (2011) named, Rob Hall, and 6 police officers on staff. It wouldn't hurt to contact them about Jordon Depew/Scott McGee's criminal activities. Here's the contact info:

Sounds like this guy deserves a knock on his door from one of his victims.
VA is in my, "I'm coming to your house" range if I get screwed.
Actually happened last year with a flashlight. He "happily" gave me his personal light to make up for it. I've been warning people of him ever since. Hopefully I've stopped more than a few shady deals for him.

Just for the record, we wouldn't recommend going to someone's home like this for obvious reasons.
 
This prick weaseled his way onto our paid forum for LT Wright Knives. Another member let me know about him and I just banned him 2 days ago. He burned a couple members for small stuff but I think a couple more deals were pending. I hope they backed out after seeing the info we posted on our forum. What a dirtbag.

It has been brought to our attention that there may be a scam artist on Facebook and numerous knife forums. We have been contacted via email and we have also received calls about this. PLEASE BE CAREFUL when buying, trading or selling. It is understood that he has been scamming on Blade Forums, Facebook, ESEE Knives forum, Knifedogs forum, Bushlore forum and possibly others. He is also known to use a roaming IP. Here is the information we have on this situation.

I spoke with the police department in Saltville. The officer was VERY helpful. Local laws make this a felony (over $200). He offered to share his email address. Any victims are welcome to email the police department so that they can be included in possible charges and restitution.
The email address for the investigating officer is: officerbmorris@saltville.org.

This may be referred to the state police, however, the local law enforcement is gathering details for now.
 
Man, what a great JB you all did on this! I would recommend to everyone reading this to share this link on other sites you might frequent. If nothing else, at least inform a mod of the situation.

I got burned by him on another board, also. Only too late to see the feedback post on him linking this, and other threads. Ironically, I actually recall telling this guy I didn't mind shipping it out before receiving HIS payment, as "I've not been burned yet". :eek:

Sorry to hear that Vic. You are one of the good guys here, and you deserve better because you've proven yourself to be one of the good guys. I hope they catch this bastid and nail his ears to the wall in the state prison.
