I traded an auto for a sebenza and he sent me a Ontario Rat 1. He seemed like a real honest guy but it in the end was a scam. He tries to sell high end folders through money order and trades. He is from Florida.
 
Is he on Bladeforums? What's his screen name?

Honestly I will probably never see that or the knife I traded for again. I mostly posted this to help other members out and inform others of this scammer.
 
He contacted me through text gave me his email and we talked for a couple days before the trade went down. Seemed really honest. I traded him an infidel and a proper for a sebenza 25. I sent him video of shipping and tracking info. He sent me a pic of tracking and package a day later. What I got in the mail was a Ontario rat 1 not a Sebenza 25.
 
Wow, that's brutal...late advice, but I never trade with someone unless they have an account here with good feedback unless they're willing to ship first:(. Maybe post the shipping address in case the name he gave you is BS as well.

I can't unless your a moderator sorry. I would have sold it to you at $100 rather than have that snake steal it.
 
OP: if you really wish to be more informative for the sake of the community which is always appreciated, you must be able to provide more definitive information. WValtakis is just trying to be helpful / supportive and your responses are made (understandably so if your story stacks up) while still in an emotional state. Screen shots of your texts and email messages would be a very helpful place to start and built upon your case.
 
how did he get your phone number to text ya op? what addresss did ya ship your knives to? what email was the scammer using, what cell number is the scammer using, etc? without details....just posting a likely false name aint gonna help anyone?

post the details if ya really want to help anyone else not get scammed
 
The OP has been listing his # in his sales posts for people to contact him. This is a BAD idea, as it allows people who are not members (therefore not accountable here) to easily contact him :(.

Did you contact him about what was received? If it's confirmed that it's not just some shipping mix up or oversight, I would post all pertinent information. Privacy of his personal info should go out the window when it involves a thief
 
Chuck1609 is the username here. He has replies in other people's sale/trade threads
 
Btw, I know I don't have a ton of posts or feedback on here, but I've done multiple sales and trades with Garrett, and have no reason to doubt what he's saying.
 
I believe Garrett is being honest with us. The person on the other end of the "deal" has no positive feedback, only negative feedback here on Bladeforums, the negative feedback is recent, and apparently he gave someone else false contact info.
