SCAMMER - NANKBROWN21 - BEWARE OF THIS MEMBER

I'd like to think this was a 'misunderstanding' but I'm not optimistic, his lack of response and failure to put his side of the story is incriminating. Greed is a horrible thing, just to potentially make a few hundred and then what? Highly unpleasant.

Who is the other person who's been scammed?

Hello Will. The other person wishes to remain quiet at this time which I believe is perfectly understandable. And, like you, they wish to keep a positive attitude and give him the benefit of the doubt. I am totally cool with their decision. My occupation (retired now) and life experience has shortened my fuse and I have no stomach for this type of behavior. I would hope for it being a misunderstanding but I believe to have given him anymore time was to put everyone else at risk of being fleeced before he was exposed. Either way - we will see.
 
So, this guy has logged in today, easy to tell because he updated his privacy options so no one would be able to see when he last was online (which used to say he was las on here Saturday morning)...speaks volumes that he didn't bother to come here and explain himself...🤔🤔🤔

For what it's worth, we received a reply to the PM I sent earlier. Not saying it guarantees anything, but he stated that everything would be taken care of by Wednesday. I know it's not ideal and doesn't make up for the disappointment and hassle, but if true, its a start to a resolution.

Like any law enforcement agency, they'll have guidelines which determine what they will look into further or investigate with an eye toward prosecution.

Still, were I the offending party, I really wouldn't want my name and personal info crossing their desk.
 
I'm hoping the guy understands his communication might be up to interpretation- some people might think "by wednesday" means COB wednesday.
 
Sorry this happened to you. With trades I’ve done in the past usually we will come upon an agreement with a mod or a respected member of the forum and each send the value of each others item to the 3rd party. When everyone has received their goods and is happy the funds are sent back to each individual. Kind of pain in the arse but basically a cya to avoid headaches like this.

When I checked my po box this morning I had received a priority mail small flat rate box from Justin Brown. Inside were both of the knives I had sent him. They were in excellent condition. Also there was a 20 dollar bill and a note.6D7C6405-C9A2-4478-86F0-64EE0C00250A_1_201_a.jpeg

So Justin Brown has made restitution as far as I am concerned. I will check and see if the other member has been made whole and report back.
