Scariest Looking Folders (EDC)

Although it's not really an "EDC", the "scariest" folder that I own is my Cold Steel Vaquero Grande...It sometimes even scares me.:).
My favorite Vaquero Grande incident was the day I was clearing thorn branches back from a trail and a young schoolgirl came through. She gave me a big smile for widening the trail. The knife didn't worry her a bit

Sheeple twitch when you open a SAK.

I have never seen a scary looking knife. I have seen a few stupid looking ones though. Of course to some people, almost any knife is scary.

Civilian and Kerambit, followed by the waved Endura. The waved Endura is scary because when you pull it out, it opens with that nice loud "thwack", which serves as an audio warning to a would be attacker as well. The first time I saw someone deploy a waved Endura, I thought, "this guy is totally crazy."

Not to start trouble but I like the Endura Wave better than the Emersons.

How about a serrated Dodo.

The midget of wicked blades (vertically challenged individuals please take no offense, just for description purposes only).

I dunno, Esav, I rather like the new versions of the Waved spydercos- based on the "4" models- than the original version. I just think that the addition of the eccentric pivot and the liners makes it a better knife. Of course, I like the fact that they're coming out with the waved Delica because its a sub-3" friendly knife. I also like them because they're just like disposable waves- and they have that CQC10 look to them (if you squint ;) )

Oh, as to the original question, I'd have to go with either the REKAT Pocket Hobbit or the SIFU. THAT knife was an absolute BEAST!!!

The Cold Steel folding Persian style knife with it's dropped handle and tip up blade. I think it would draw a double take or two.

Big knives, serrated knives, everyone's seen them. Some people react more calmly than others.

The REKAT Pocket Hobbit is in a class by itself. That's a scary-looking knife. It looks like what it was made for.

You know, I've always thought it'd be funny (though not worth the hassle) to pull a "Dundee" with the RAD. Picture it:

You pull out the RAD closed, and someone standing next to you says "That's a HUGE knife!" You calmly reply, "This?!? This isn't a knife... <open RAD slowly in full view> Now THIS is a knife!!!"

*Just make sure they have a soft place to land when they pass out  :D !

I've got the big Laci Szabo butterfly knife. Scimitar blade, mirror-polished stainless steel. That knife intimidates even me -- Fred Perrin made it and put a nice edge on it. I touched it up. Too sharp. :p

Spyderco Civillian and the Microtech Hawk get my votes. Anything with a hawbbill style blade it going to draw attention along with serratins and blade blades add to the "Scariness" factor.
