The three year saga about this knife doesn't need repeating here. If you are curious, you can find the seven page thread here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=358399

BTT with a sharper price. $675

So that everyone is on the same page, I will reduce the price by $50 a day until we get the "I'll take it message" on this thread.

I would estimate that a fair market value would be $500-$550, but we are looking for a bit of philanthropy here.

Come on someone step up on this beauty.

I'll send a free Bill's Custom Case to the purchaser, how's that! Or, Peter send me your address and I'll get the case out today.

Question?

What happened to the guy who was going to give Peter $1000 for the knife?

WWG

Inappropriate question. First, since this thread is posted here, it's quite evident that the $1000 offer / claim to purchase didn't come through. Second, your question isn't necessary or productive, considering the intent of this portion of the forum and the thread.

Lets keep focused on the sale at hand.

Here is the balance of today's reduction $575  BTT

The Scarmaker is still available.

I have had a couple of requests to use PayPal, but to keep the playing field level, I am staying with the original conditions of sale.

Thanks for your interest.

Best,

Peter

Nice score Bill. You are going to appreciate this one.

Woodwork, totally the wrong place to ask a question like that.

Gig's above quote is dead on.

Peter, I'm glad you are doing this for a worthy cause, no hard feelings on my part. Great gesture bro.

Peter,Congratulations on the sale and your donation to Doctors Without Borders,an incredible organization.
Bill,Congratulations on your awesome acquisition.

Gig,

Yes, my question was appropriate.

More suited and better served through some form of private communication.

First, as you're aware, this portion of the forum is for . . . .

Items for sale or trade by individuals - folders, fixed blades, automatics and more!

Which is why there is a sticky at the top of the forum that states. . . . .

Unless the seller has directly ripped you off, I don't want to see negative comments or asinine behavior in for sale threads, especially from non-paying members. Questions & such are still welcome, but don't act like an ass in someone's for sale thread.

In other words, don't sh*t on for sale threads !

Second, it would have been just as easy for you to go to the thread in GB&U and quickly discover what happened to the $1,000 offer.

I'm glad that the knife sold and the funds going to a worthy cause.
