Schrade & JK Giveaway

Thanks to everyone who has posted so far, lots of good ideas.

I thought there would be more participation, guess not. Maybe the ideas for an anniversary has scared a few people off.

So, lets turn this into a photo thread to liven it up. Post up any knife, outdoor, camping, family, funny photos. It would be nice to see this thread end up several pages long.

I'll start with a few.

Hopefully we are still welcome even without pictures. If I get them loaded maybe I'll include a link to the albums of our trip to the IPE in Armstrong, BC, last weekend.

I'd say take her back to your guy's favorite restaurant and have a nice bouquet of flowers waiting for her. Make her feel like a million dollars. Do you have any special gifts in mind?

For our 5th anniversary I managed to save enough money to have what should have been her engagement ring made. For our 10th the plan is to get her another wedding band to complete the "sandwich".

Yep, still welcome. Photos aren't technically required per the original post. Just thought it might help gather more interest with photos. We all like seeing photos. You know pics or it didn't happen.

This is a friend of mines Kentucky Woodsman. This walnut handle turned out great, made me wish I'd gotten walnut on mine.

Here is one I picked up about 5 years ago in an antique shop. Knife is mint and the original card makes it one of my favorite! Think I gave about $10 for it.

Awesome giveaway!

My first entry will be a picture of the first JK knife I've gotten.

Not an entry.

I like the comment about making her something, or writing a poem. One year for Christmas, I made my wife this. It's just a simple CD holder, but she loves otters, so I though this would be a cool accent in the house.

A lot of times, it's not about an amount of money you can spend. Sometimes, just giving something that shows you put a lot of thought or time into means more than a store bought item. I am having a dilemma right now myself. Our 25th anniversary is 2 weeks away. We agreed not to get anything yet for each other, as the whole thing of sending our son to college has put a strain on funds right now. Normally, I would just go and get her something anyway, but I'm not sure this time. I will probably write her something nice in a card, but I don't know...

Hey Derek,

I have no great ideas, but I wish you all the best. Ten years is a GREAT start!

The newly put on "bounty paper towel" pattern patina. I think I still want to darken it a little more evenly and overall.
